Light in a Dark World

I saw this shot while leaving a friend's house today. His wife works for the Dream Center in LA, so I threw a quick type on for fun. How sweet would it have been to have a beam of light thru the clouds onto the skyline!
I forgot to mention he lives 30 miles from downtown.

  1. Light and composition is all photography is and you found both perfectly. Maybe a little more literal on the light side wink wink. I like how it's a panoramic crop too.

  2. I think this is a SUPER creative shot. What I think is the best part and makes me a touch jealous is that you just "happened" to see this shot at a whim. That I think is a sign of a true artist and natural photographer. Great eye. I am inspired by this shot. I think this may be my favorite one you have posted... hard to chose, but still a fav!!

  3. Yes, I agree. Spotting great, creative shots like this is the mark of a growing photographer. Fantastic imagery. The intent of this photo leaps out of the frame. You captured the natural light at a fine moment. I'm quite partial to your use of type as well. 4 stars for best billboard post!

  5. LR2 highlight & shadow mix with a little clarity & sharpness. Cropped in LR2 then added text in CS3.
