I took Stacy up to Solvang to do some wine tasting this last weekend. We had fun taking photos of each other out on the open road. Here are a couple, I have a couple others later.. What do ya think? SUPER bright sun so I thought I would put some fun effects on them.

At first the exposure and color is shocking, but because you carried it through the series, I can see where you're going. My only two observations would be to bring in that sweet loner tree a little more by shooting from a higher perspective or jump that fence and get closer. Also, the windmill can cloak itself as an antenna depending on where it comes out of the head. Sweet focus, DOF, & lighting on the last one.
ReplyDeletecool stuff, troy. you did a pretty sweet job of making the best out of the harsh light. did you happen to garner any bits of wisdom/technique from the shoot you'd be so kind as to share with us?
ReplyDeleteI agree. Way to make good use of the harsh light and create a theme with all of them.
ReplyDeleteKiller boots, Stacy :)
ReplyDeletesuper tough lighting. i think the third is my fave, it's composed very nicely- a lower shooting angle and great foreground reeds and background tree on horizon, good balance.
ReplyDeleteHow'd you score the model? Does Stacy now about this? Well done.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS GUYS.
ReplyDeleteHugh- I don't really have too much to pass along that is anything new. Maybe that I try to take shots that don't have eye contact in this type of sunlight.
Rod- noted on the windmill, I could have avoided that...
Miah- yeah, I actually sent those to hers and my family and the church office! Gotta show off the trophy wife!!
