Critique: Flare is a Friend of Mine

Oh yeah.  Just for the record.  I felt like Hugh's last post was a little reductionistic.  Mr Forte forgot to mention that, in addition to bokeh,  I am also a huge fan of lens flare.  And, unlike his watermark, I try to keep mine seamless (notice the green matching font color).  Some people appreciate being fairly represented.  I am one of them.

Check out this online lens rental site.  I was looking at their weekly rate for lens rentals and was pretty impressed.  Although, I must confess, this is the only weekly rate I've ever looked at.

This was the reason why I got into wedding photography...THE CHICKS! Thing is I was already married at the first wedding I shot. Saturday this drunk love cougar was after the wrong dude.

This weekend we took Jackson to Krypton and when were on the hologram tour he snagged one of those ice-thingys when we weren't looking. Krypton's not as cool as you might think.

I took Stacy up to Solvang to do some wine tasting this last weekend. We had fun taking photos of each other out on the open road. Here are a couple, I have a couple others later.. What do ya think? SUPER bright sun so I thought I would put some fun effects on them.

Fun: this image is fun.
Critique: I'm interviewing for what could be an epic photography job. I'm creating a blog to showcase a portfolio of work. I'm going to have it done by Monday. Could you guys check it out and give me any of your thoughts, critiques or encouragement? The job is for photojournalism so I'm putting together some images that tell a story (as well as some others to show technical proficiency).

Ring Flash

Hey dudes and dudette. Got a question for you all: have you heard of the Ray Flash? (here) It's $200 and until Hugh starts producing his ring flash it seems like a viable option for hot-shoe mounted ring flash units.  Any words? Word.
