Obscure
My friend Chris Simning spent the night last weekend so we ran out and took some traditional as well as these more "obscure" headshots for an article he's writing. His ministry is:

Summer Swell. Dana Point. Christian Fletcher.
This dude's still got it. As he punted across the section in an orange suit, I managed to snag a frame of the surfing icon.

Ever Shot a Bat?
So I saw some bats and wondered to myself, "I wonder..."
Here's my first 25,600 ISO photo. 1/320th, 200mm f/2.8, taken at 9pm.

Samaritan's Purse-Bolivia
My friends! It seems like forever. I have what seems like an endless amount of photos to sort through and tell stories about, but no extra time! Moving across country and starting a "new life" requires a lot of effort. Here is a sampling of a new format I am trying as I attempt to share from my travels. Let me know what you think...if you have the time ;) (frame is smaller than original to fit on this page)
The full story is here.

Nicole & Brittany Studio Fun
Nicole Cruz the oh so talented hair dresser entered a contest where she creates a look from start to finish and takes a photo of it. She styles, she does make- up, she does hair and she take some darn good photos. She came over to my garage studio and shot a bunch of gems. I had to take a few myself, see below...

Honor
My cousin, Peter Cross was tragically taken to be with the Lord on Friday June 26th at the age of 20. He was on patrol in Afghanistan when he swerved to miss some children, causing his humvee to flip over, killing him immediately. What an honor it was to be part of the memorial where they celebrated his life and deep love for Jesus even to his last moments.
As I looked around at the family members gathered before the service I realized I was the only person with a camera. I felt a profound obligation to record what happened, as we must have the chance look back and remember how he laid down his life that others might live. He was deeply loved.

Big Cliff!
Went out to a Jeep MEGA MEET. Over 100 Jeeps out in the desert! One of my buddies wanted to try a similar cliff that I posted my Jeep on a couple weeks ago and I took these photos. This guys is my favorite guy to wheel with, we always have blast and push each others comfort zones. Fun times and fun textures!
